A week later and the rest of the world joins us in squeals of delight. For us it was another day of the Cline Festivus. Usually this would mean an attempt to make a gingerbread house. Which may or not have have caused unnecessary stress in past years. In the spirit of a stress-less Festivus… What was I suppose to do?
I noticed that sugar cubes made excellent building blocks. Well I whipped up the “glue” and a new tradition was born!
It was neat to see the ideas they came up with. A marshmallow door, a tree for the cats, a polar bear for the igloo…
…a watch tower and a wall to keep out zombies.
They had a blast finding new things to add to their sugar creations. I am pretty sure Neko filled up the inside of his “house” with Skittles or M&Ms. Which would explain the animals roving around on the outside and a chocolate Santa keeping watch from the rooftop.
When the candy crushing had finally come to an end, there were a couple of sugar cubes left over. I couldn’t help myself…
Would you believe me if I told you it was bigger on the inside?
